If you are an entrepreneurial millennial looking for tools, tactics, and inspiration to take your business and your life to the next level, this is the show for you. Brad Mulvey created this podcast as a student of life, looking to build a foundation of knowledge that would support the dreams of his audience and himself. In Napoleon Hill’s timeless classic Think and Grow Rich, he defines a mastermind group as, "the Coordination of knowledge and effort between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose." In this podcast, that coordination is created between you, our amazing guests, and Brad. Our definite purpose is achieving extraordinary results in your business and in your life. Welcome to the Millennial Mastermind. Following mentorship from trailblazers like Tim Ferris, Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, Grant Cardone, John Lee Dumas, Pat Flynn, Gary Vaynerchuk, Lewis Howes, Simon Sinek, Geoff Woods, and more!

If you've been a long time listener of this show, you've heard the concept of mastermind groups brought up time and time again.  It's become apparent to me that this is a tool which has been utilized by highly successful individuals throughout history.  In today's episode, I do a deep dive into what a mastermind group really is and how you can organize one.

Today's episode covers a challenge that we all face on an ongoing basis... becoming the master of your own mindset!   I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to connect with our guest, Carrie Green.

Carrie is the Founder of the Female Entrepreneur Association and the author of the new book She Means Business.  The Female Entrepreneur Association a network of over 400,000 women from around the world.  Carrie also did a TEDx Talk back in 2014 that now has nearly 3 million views on YouTube.

My favorite thing about Carrie is that, despite the massive success she's accomplished over the last few years, she still keeps it totally real.  Whether it's in an interview, her vlog, or her blog, it doesn't matter, she gives it to you straight.  This is especially important (and rare) in the world of entrepreneurship, where the reality is often overshadowed by the mystique of the whole thing.

Please enjoy the following pearls of wisdom and countless nuggets of inspiration from Carrie Green.

95% of America is going about networking all wrong.  Let's re-think how we approach this despised activity.

Feb 13, 2017
There are times in life when you meet someone who you just feel a connection with right from the get-go.  I had one of those experiences when I sat down to interview this week's guest, Bill Fisher.  Not only does he have a voice that that is destined for audio greatness, but he's also a phenomenal guy.  Bill is the President and Co-Founder of Maximum Velocity, a full-service marketing agency here in Cleveland.

I was introduced to Bill by a listener, and now friend, who reached out just looking to add value.  That gesture alone was enough to start a friendship with that particular listener but also planted the seed for another great relationship and a top-notch episode with Bill.

Bill delivers some unbelievable content and true value in this episode. I will say it gets deep and he is very open and vulnerable with me, which makes for a powerful conversation. He is very open about how his faith has guided him. We discuss the importance of having someone to hold you accountable, how you can set up a life plan, what it means to find your spot, and much more.

Enjoy!

You may not like Tom Brady, but you have to respect him.  This edition of the Mastermind Grind explains how you can earn respect like the greatest quarterback ever to play the game.

It's such a simple question, but it holds a tremendous amount of power if you give it the thought it deserves.  We all know how hectic life is.  And especially in this wild and wacky area of personal development (or self-optimization), it sometimes feels like there are thousands of things you should be doing.  If you honestly tried to implement every productivity hack you heard on a podcast, read in a book, or picked up from an article, you'd need about 40 hours in a day just to get that stuff done.  Not to mention time for work, family, and everything else life throws your way.

For today's episode, I'm joined by Geoff Woods, Vice President of The ONE Thing, the company behind the book of the same name, and host of The ONE Thing Podcast.  Geoff has an amazing story of going from employee to entrepreneur in less than one year from when he made the decision to do so.  He has a unique perspective on how to achieve massive results in a very short amount of time.

This is a killer episode that I know you guys will love.  And something that I would love, is to connect with you.  I am making it a priority to connect directly with as many of my listeners as possible this year.  I don't want to sell you anything or push anything on you, but rather just want to better understand what challenges you are facing, what you're currently struggling with, and how I can help.   If you're interested in forming a relationship with me, you can go to MillennialMM.com/call to set up a 15-minute call.

Today I explore the mindset of Hollywood great, Will Smith.

"The only thing that I see that is distinctly different about me is I'm not afraid to die on a treadmill. I will not be out-worked, period. You might have more talent than me, you might be smarter than me, you might be sexier than me, you might be all of those things you got it on me in nine categories. But if we get on the treadmill together, there's two things: You're getting off first, or I'm going to die. It's really that simple, right?" - Will Smith

"In my mind, I've always been an A-list Hollywood superstar. Y'all just didn't know yet." - Will Smith

Do you ever find yourself walking away from an inspiring conversation with your mind racing with possibilities and ideas? Since starting this show, I've been fortunate to have this experience more and more frequently with some of the amazing guests. But for today's episode, I walked away completely mind-blown with new ideas, a totally new outlook on the potential paths to entrepreneurship, and a new understanding of how you can strategically plan your career to use it as a training ground for the next level of success.

I learned this all from my good friend and mentor, Sean Wenger. Sean is the Executive Vice President of Client Services at Fathom, one of the nation’s largest independent digital marketing agencies. Sean leads a high-performance team including many ultra-successful millennials. He has a passion for entrepreneurship and has leveraged his strong track record with a Fortune 100 organization to expedite his experience and obtain significant leadership roles at a young age.

This conversation expanded my mind so much in terms of what I can be doing now to not only prepare myself for higher levels of success, but to actually leverage my career as a series of stepping stones to get to exactly where I want to be.

You are going to love this one!

I frequently find myself being asked, "Why do you do this podcast?"  I've come to realize that this is code for, "Why do spend so much time on this thing that you don't get paid for?"

Recently, I did some deep thinking on what the true "why" is behind my motivation to continue producing this show.  In this episode, I dive into where that motivation stems from and share some personal insights that I haven't opened up about on the show before.  I share this information in an effort to encourage you to discover your own "why".  Clearly defining the purpose that moves you forward will help you to power through tough times.

This is my "why".  What's yours?

What would you do if doctors told you that you only have 3 months to live?

Every one of us has had to overcome challenges in our journey of life.  And in that moment, those challenges can feel crushing and insurmountable.  You may even be in the midst of overcoming one of those monumental challenges right now.  That is why I wanted to record this episode with Matt Burnsworth, a man who has successfully overcome challenges so great, that most of us can't even comprehend them.

In this episode, Matt shares his experience of overcoming the most difficult situations life could throw at him.  His battles with cancer have transformed his body, molded his mindset, and redefined his perspective.  We discuss that when facing challenging situations, especially cancer, it is imperative to surround yourself with positive people and distance yourself from the negative.  Matt also sheds light on how all of us can approach the peaks and valleys of life with an attitude that gives us the best shot at victory.

Be warned, listening to this profound episode may cause life-altering shifts in your attitude and perception.

Here are some of my favorite quotes from Matt:
  • "You give me a chance, I'm going to take it"
  • "I definitely have heart, because I saw it... I could literally see my heart."
  • "You do good and good will come back to you"
  • "Life is full of peaks and valleys"
  • "All you could do is your best"
  • "It's important to have a plan, but it's more important to have a goal and a reason"
Enjoy!

On this episode, I am thrilled to be joined by a business leader who I have the distinct pleasure of working with on a daily basis.  I'm talking about a founder who has directly impacted my daily work life.  That's right, I cornered the CEO of my own company and convinced him to join me for an interview.

Gerard Daher founded Speedeon Data back in 2008, right in the midst of the financial crisis.  He has successfully taken the company from a startup, to a multi-million dollar data marketing agency.

My motivation in bringing Gerard on the show was pretty straight forward.  I really respect the company he's built, and wanted to learn how he did it.  Also, knowing Gerard as well as I do, I knew that he would have some great lessons and stories to share with us.

To learn more about Gerard or the company he built from the ground up, Speedeon Data, you can check out SpeedeonData.com or connect with Gerard on LinkedIn at https://www.linkedin.com/in/gerard-daher-02863.

Do you go through the same sorry story at the start of every year?  You know, making a resolution on January 1st and giving up on it well before the calendar turns to February.  I've been there and done that.  But not this time around, because I have a tested plan.

Today, I share my thoughts on how to tackle the new year to put routines in place that will transform into habits before the groundhog can get scared by his furry shadow.  Happy new year, and cheers to success!

This week, I'm joined by a guest who's idea was laughed at, ignored, and induced countless eye rolls.  But despite the negative feedback and doubters, Jen Glantz refused to give up.  Now she's been featured on Good Morning America, the Today Show, the Steve Harvey Show, Fox News, and many other national news outlets.  It turns out that her "crazy" idea was just what some brides-to-be and maids-of-honor were looking for.

Jen's company, Bridesmaid for Hire, has made a splash in the wedding industry, and today she is sharing her secrets to persevering through the hard times to achieve your dreams.  We discuss the importance of testing your idea in the market, when you shouldn't tell your friends about it, and surrounding yourself with people who will push you and cut through your b.s.

If you enjoy this episode and haven't already, please subscribe to the show on iTunes so we can keep this train rolling.  That would be much appreciated.

Please enjoy this conversation with Jen Glantz.

You don't have have to look very hard to find some advice on how to be successful.  If you ask 10 friends about it, you'll probably get 10 different "surefire" paths to the top.  But the truth is that where the advice comes from is just as (if not more) important than the advice itself.  That's why I get so fired up to find guests who have achieved success themselves, or even better, have turned to science to better understand what we can do to give ourselves the best shot at being successful.

In that respect, there's no one better to talk to about the scientifically proven formulas for success than today's guest, Angela Duckworth.  Angela is a professor of psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, the founder and scientific director of the Character Lab, recipient of the 2013 MacArthur "Genius" Award, and author of the New York Times Best Seller "Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance".

In this episode, Angela shares her research behind grit and the impact it has on success.  We chat about how passion and perseverance, applied over a long period of time, are the keys to achieving mastery in any field.  She also explains how we can foster a culture and mindset to assist in our journey to the top.  She shares how this approach has worked for legends like Will Smith and Pete Carroll.

Definitely check out Angela's book by following the link below and let me know what you think of this episode in the comments.

Have you ever wondered how influencers became influencers in their respective industries or niches?  Well my friends, wonder no more.  In this week's episode, Joe Pulizzi is sharing the exact road map to becoming an influencer and starting a business based on content.  Whether you're thinking about starting a blog, podcast, YouTube page, or any other content based project, Joe is the foremost expert on the topic.  Known in the industry as the "Godfather of Content Marketing", Joe founded the Content Marketing Institute which was then sold to UBM for over $17 million.

When starting the Millennial Mastermind Podcast, I was very lucky to come across Joe's latest book, Content Inc, which helped me get the show off the ground.  To this day, I tap into Joe's expertise to grow the podcast and further develop the MMP brand.  I know you will all find his infinite wisdom to be enlightening and inspiring.

When it comes to finding your purpose, defining your own success, and writing your own life's story, there's no one better to talk to than Eric Termuende.  Like most of us, Eric hit a point in his life when he had no idea what was next.  He didn't land his dream job, didn't have a plan, and didn't know what his next move needed to be.  But it was at just that moment when he decided to create his own path and began his journey to remove the negative connotation that comes along with work.

Eric started his own business and began helping other millennials figure out what their purpose is.  In this episode, we chat about how you can find your purpose, how we need to deconstruct the idea of a generation, and what success really means.

We've got a special episode today, as I'm joined by a fellow Millennial who's been lighting it up in business for over ten years now, and hasn't even celebrated his 30th birthday.  This week, I'm chatting with Heath Oakes.

It won't take you long to pick up that Heath's a Texas boy, and he's living up to the reputation by doing everything BIG from a young age.  He started selling insurance when he was just 19, opened his first agency by 21, and was recruited to a management position typically help by folks in their 40's when he was just 23.  He's widely respected and rarely out-performed.  And in February, 2017, he has his first book coming out; Ignorance on Fire: A Journey of Failing Your Way to Success.  The title alone caught my interest.

Make sure you take shelter, because Heath drops value bombs throughout this entire conversation.

Enjoy!

Each week, it is my mission to introduce you to guests who inspire me personally and who I know can bring value to you that will be the fuel to ignite change in your life.  Today, I have the distinct pleasure to do just that with a guest who I've known for, literally, as long as I can remember.  This guest is the networking wizard, Ryan Mayer.

Ryan takes the term "people person" to the next level.  I've witnessed him light up a room on multiple occasions with his passion, incredible public speaking skills, and charisma that just won't quit.  And lucky for me, Ryan isn't just a friend, but we're bound by blood as well since he's my first cousin.  And for those of you who have listened to this show for a while, yes, he's 'that' cousin who I have mentioned in multiple episodes.

In this coffee shop conversation with Ryan, we chat about networking tips and tricks, self-optimization secrets, and acquiring more of the one asset that can't be taken away from you - knowledge.  Check out the links below to see where you connect with Ryan, which I highly encourage doing.  I hope you enjoy this chat with Ryan Mayer.  I'd love to hear from you in the comment section below.
