The Millennial Mastermind Podcast

If you are an entrepreneurial millennial looking for tools, tactics, and inspiration to take your business and your life to the next level, this is the show for you. Brad Mulvey created this podcast as a student of life, looking to build a foundation of knowledge that would support the dreams of his audience and himself. In Napoleon Hill’s timeless classic Think and Grow Rich, he defines a mastermind group as, "the Coordination of knowledge and effort between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose." In this podcast, that coordination is created between you, our amazing guests, and Brad. Our definite purpose is achieving extraordinary results in your business and in your life. Welcome to the Millennial Mastermind. Following mentorship from trailblazers like Tim Ferris, Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, Grant Cardone, John Lee Dumas, Pat Flynn, Gary Vaynerchuk, Lewis Howes, Simon Sinek, Geoff Woods, and more!

If you could predict the future, would it be easier for you to make millions?  What if I told you that there are ways to accurately anticipate what will happen?  Interested?  Today's episode teaches us exactly how we can anticipate the future and take advantage of the trends that lie ahead.

Daniel Burrus is considered one of the world’s leading futurists on global trends and innovation.  He is a business strategist, NY Times & Wall Street Journal best-selling author, founder of 6 companies, and the CEO of Burrus Research.  In this conversation, Daniel teaches us to:
  • anticipate problems before they arise
  • accurately predict problems customers have and how you can pre-solve them
  • predict disruptions before they actually disrupt

We explore how anyone can look at known trends to understand what needs will arise in the future.  Utilizing these trends, you can take your business or career to levels that are presently inconceivable to you.

Dr. Travis Zigler is an optometrist, co-founder of Eye Love the Sun along with his wife, and co-founder of Business Igniters.

Since Travis was last on this podcast 15 months ago, he has managed to 4x his business, go from 0 to 13 employees, fire 7 of those employees (and fire himself), and start another business on the side.  In this episode, we discuss how he did all of this, why he shrunk his team by over half, and the massive impact mastermind groups have had on his life and business.

Towards the end of this episode, he turns the questions around on me, and the conversation transforms into an amazing mini-coaching session on how I can scale the business side of Millennial Mastermind.  I stay pretty transparent, and you guys can get an inside look at the challenges I'm facing.

What do you think of when you hear the word "Networking"?  Maybe some things come to mind such as coffee dates, email introductions, phone calls or even a horribly awkward happy hour event where you're showered with business cards.  But I'm guessing that you don't hear "networking" and think of Facebook groups, Instagram Direct Messaging, and paid mastermind groups.  That's where Travis Chappell comes in.

Travis is the host of the Build Your Network Podcast, where he connects with and interviews some of the top networkers of our time.  He is able to blend tried and true relationship building techniques with the tools that social media brings to our fingertips.  Travis shares the strategies that he used to connect with people like John Lee Dumas of Entrepreneur on Fire.

One of the biggest challenges with achieving success is picking the right projects to go after.  No matter how hard you work, you can be spinning your wheels if your effort is put forth towards the wrong opportunity.

John David Mann has a track record of picking the RIGHT opportunities.  And in this episode, he shares how he selects projects, how he decides to turn the wrong projects down, and how to overcome challenges that come up in the process.

John has been a concert cellist, award-winning composer, high school founder, educator, publisher, entrepreneur, marketer, public speaker, and event master of ceremonies. John has coauthored two dozen books, including seven New York Times and national bestsellers. His books have sold more than 2 million copies, including the bestselling classic The Go-Giver with co-author Bob Burg, who was one of my first guests way back on episode 5. His latest, coming this fall, is his self-published culinary parable, THE RECIPE: A Story of Loss, Love, and the Ingredients of Greatness.

Miles Beckler is an entrepreneur, digital marketing influencer, outdoors enthusiast, and the master of his own lifestyle.  The term "freedom" means everything to Miles and his wife Melanie.  After founding a lifestyle business that allowed them to quit their day jobs, they decided to shift to a minimalist lifestyle and travel the world.  4 years later, they are still traveling, kicking ass in business, and teaching others how it can be done.

In this episode, we discuss:
  • Lifestyle businesses
  • The minimalist lifestyle
  • Going deep on one business (ignoring shiny objects)
  • How to outsource pieces of your business
  • Where to start
  • Growing your audience

I walked away from this conversation feeling totally invigorated, and know you guys will too!
