Happy New Year!!!

In this episode, I'm sharing the framework I use and that we implement at the Launch Pad Mastermind to blast into the new year with purpose and direction.

The three main pieces of the framework are:
  1. Reflecting on the past year
  2. Setting goals for the upcoming year
  3. Creating a Launch Plan (action plan) to accomplish those goals

Here are a few questions and concepts that are discussed in the episode:

Reflecting on the past year
Questions to ask yourself:
  1. What went well this year?
    • What did you accomplish over the past year?
    • What were your biggest wins?
    • What contributed to those wins?
    • How can you make those results repeatable?
    • What didn't you accomplish?
    • Why not?
    • Did you set goals at the beginning of last year? What were they?
  2. What didn’t go so well this year?
    • How could you have overcome last year's challenges?
    • What could have made the year better?
    • How do you repeat the positives?
  3. What did I learn?

Write your "old story" of who you were in the last year.

Setting goals for the upcoming year
Before setting goals, need to think about what areas/buckets in your life you want to set goals. For example, the main buckets I focus on are:
  • Family and Relationships
  • Business
  • Finances
  • Fitness
  • Faith

Make sure you are setting SMART goals:
  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Attainable
  • Relevant
  • Time-bound

Creating a Launch Plan to accomplish those goals
Nice goals! Are you feeling some resistance? That's totally normal. You just need a plan because action is the best remedy for resistance.

Here are some tips:
  • Start with the end in mind
  • Break each goal down into smaller steps
  • Take one step at a time, but always towards the goal
  • Key to reaching your goal is CONSISTENT ACTION
